Reminder: IMI accepts Camp applications through April
Just a reminder that the International Masonry Institute will be accepting applications for its 2008 Masonry Camp through the end of April, space allowing.
Located at the John J. Flynn BAC/IMI National Training Center in Bowie, Md., Masonry Camp is a nationally recognized design/build educational program attended by young architects and masonry craftworkers from across North America. The IMI created Masonry Camp more than a decade ago to foster collaboration between designers and builders and to invest in the future of good masonry design and construction.
IMI Masonry Camp brings together BAC apprentices and young designers to experience the masonry crafts firsthand — brick and block, tile, terrazzo, stone, plaster and restoration — and to understand the advantages of collaboration between craftworkers and designers.
Masonry Camp is presently only open to intern architects and BAC masonry apprentices. Application information can be found on the IMI Web site.
